ICE Athletic Center offers Reformer Pilates programs that are appropriate for the beginner to the veteran practitioner. For those ready to progress in their practice Pilates Reformer is available in private, semi-private and group options. Start strengthening your core, stabilizing your joints, improving flexibility, enhancing your sports training regimen and recovering from past injuries.

For beginners Mat Pilates, and Yoga in a group setting is part of our FORM II that comes with your membership*. This tranquil area will allow you to unwind, breathe, stretch and lengthen your body. All levels are available. Namaste.

FORM Class Descriptions

PILATES:
This is an exercise system that is focused on building strength without bulk, improving flexibility and agility, and helping to prevent injury. The primary focus is on awareness of the spine, proper breathing, core strength and flexibility. The outcome of Pilates training is a balanced body that is strong, long, and lean.

HATHA YOGA*:
Hatha Yoga is the branch of yoga which concentrates on physical health and mental well-being. Hatha yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation(dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear, peaceful mind. There are nearly 200 hatha yoga postures, with hundreds of variations, which work to make the spine supple and to promote circulation in all the organs, glands, and tissues. Hatha yoga postures also stretch and align the body, promoting balance and flexibility.

THE BARRE EFFECT*:
The Barre Effect workout creates a uniquely lean, firm, sculpted body by combining the muscle-shaping principles of isometrics, the body-elongating practice of dance conditioning, the science of physical therapy and the intense pace of interval training into a powerful exercise format that quickly and safely reshapes and elongates muscles. GENTLE FLOW YOGA*-A gentle form of flow yoga in which poses and flows are chosen to suit the student's abilities.

PiYo:
This class combines Yoga Poses with Pilates mat exercises to build Core strength and enhance agility and balance.

POWER FLOW YOGA:
This class is a workout created to totally reshape your body because you continually move from deep center in and between all the yoga poses. Participants will burn more calories, gain muscle tone, earn flexibility, and lose weight faster than with many other styes of yoga. It is a fun, gym-strength workout.
